Buyer As a Site Buyer II on our procurement team, you will perform bidding activities for services and certain non-stock materials. You will have the opportunity to participate in negotiations and resource sharing, leveraging vendor and business unit partnerships to capture savings from supply contracts and strategic sourcing agreements. You will thrive in this role if you are passionate about safety and have a customer-centric mindset. Where You'll Work: This is a Site buyer role based out of our Uncle Sam Facility. (7250 Highway 44 | Uncle Sam, LA 70792). This role is eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Buyer or in procurement (Ideally 3 years or more)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • The ability and willingness to negotiate contracts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SAP Fieldglass or Ariba

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with plant team members to understand their procurement needs
  • Negotiate with suppliers to provide internal customers with the best solution for meeting materials and service needs
  • Identify, attain, and record cost savings
  • Build lasting vendor partnerships and work with business units and other resources to develop and enhance overall purchasing strategies
  • Collaborate with Mosaic's accounting team to ensure invoices are paid per contract agreements
  • Maintain purchase agreements for your assigned sites
  • Expedite orders, address shipment inconsistencies and handle freight arrangements
  • Execute purchase agreements
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of BU maintenance and operations purchasing strategies
  • Procure rental equipment, labor, and other goods needed to operate an industrial plant
  • Communicate with plant personnel, confirm pricing with suppliers, monitor delivery and review invoicing, expedite delivery, when necessary, reconcile deliveries with invoicing and provide accrual documents for financial closing
  • Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers and report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees
