About The Position

The Buyer II is responsible for all aspects of purchasing including but not limited to: vendor buys, brokering, and some vendor relation management. This position includes coordination between other departments within the company as well as vendors and customers to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED or equivalent experience, required
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or supply chain distributor
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience organizing/coordinating multiple projects
  • Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
  • Must be able to convey written and verbal instructions
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR requirement
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • An understanding of and working knowledge of aerospace quality management practices and AS9120 requirements is helpful
  • Knowledge in OEM and general aerospace business environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of aircraft parts and aerospace requirements
  • Knowledge of inventory practices and general aerospace requirements regarding same

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the company’s products, and services, and always provides excellent customer service
  • Establishes methods and process/procedures to ensure productivity is maintained at an optimum level. Removes obstacles, allows for and contributes needed resources, coordinates work efforts and monitors' progress. Asserts innovative ideas
  • Drives for results and success; conveys a sense of urgency; pursues goals and works to achieve them
  • Demonstrates sound business ethics
  • Understands and conveys information and instructions clearly and effectively
  • Reviews customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Handles replenishment of orders and inventory analysis
  • Understands ERP system reporting for management review
  • Communicates with customers including but not limited to receipt of orders, shipping, claims
  • Handles new customer set up
  • Performs other duties assigned
