Working Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8AM - 5PM Summary Assists the Purchasing department by developing and maintaining strong partner relationships in accordance with ESPEC’s mission, vision, and guiding principles. Responsibilities include issuing purchase orders within the company ERP system and managing aspects of the item master to ensure it reflects accurate information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of materials management or buyer experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required including the use of Microsoft Office, email, and ERP systems.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts (while on the production shop floor).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management (or related field) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes purchase orders utilizing the company ERP system or alternative method as necessary.
  • Processes Requests for Purchase Order’s (RFP) for miscellaneous items.
  • Handles product returns, including requesting RMAs, completes non-conformance documentation, and collaborates with relevant departments to ensure all necessary transactions are completed.
  • Expedites orders to ensure timely product delivery and meet customer expectations.
  • Provides backup support to other buyers as needed to address workload imbalances or absences.
  • Directly responsible for maintaining item master records within the ERP system to ensure accurate information. This includes, but is not limited to preferred partner selection, reorder minimum, costs, lead times, etc.
  • Regular on-site presence is required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
