About The Position

The Buyer I position at Baptist Medical Center Southbank is a full-time role within the Strategic Sourcing team, focusing on procurement and purchasing processes. The role involves managing capital requisitions, processing purchase orders, and supporting construction projects through research and data management. The position allows for remote work three days a week after an initial 90-day period, subject to manager discretion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience required.
• Experience in finance is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic procurement and contracting processes.

Responsibilities

• Input Capital Requisitions to confirm purchases are in line with current system standards and contracted pricing.
• Process Purchase Orders and schedule deliveries.
• Specify equipment for construction projects based on departmental needs and system standards.
• Maintain system equipment specifications.
• Support construction projects by performing research and data management under the supervision of the Senior Buyer.
• Assist with ongoing system capital conversion projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
