Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years global supply chain management.
  • 5+ years of experience working on process improvement
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships while interfacing with diverse internal teams and external global partners
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, global environment with high visibility
  • Must be adept in managing priorities and delegating tasks effectively to leading a global team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency with Excel

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Global Leadership: Lead for all Ford regions; spearhead global sourcing initiatives, pricing strategies, and Multi-Year Agreements (MYAs) during the Global Bid cycle (every 2–3 years).
  • North America Contract Management: Directly manage North American lanes while maintaining a consultative and collaborative partnership with North American Vehicle Logistics (NAVL).
  • Contract Lifecycle Management:  Execute high-volume tactical requirements, including spot-move negotiations, contract amendments, and the establishment of new lanes to meet evolving production demands.
  • Market Intelligence:  Conduct ongoing research into the Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) and maritime industries to provide executive-level market updates, regulatory insights, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Commodity Strategy:  Develop and execute the Global Commodity Business Plan, ensuring alignment with corporate financial and operational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Governance:  Lead and facilitate weekly Strategic Commodity Team (SCT) meetings to drive alignment across logistics, finance, and regional stakeholders.
  • Operational Support & Escalation:  Serve as the global point of contact for critical escalations, including claims resolution, supply chain disruptions, and payment/invoicing discrepancies.
  • Executive Communication:  Synthesize complex data into high-quality presentations for senior management reviews.
