About The Position

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing supplies? As a Buyer in Materials Management at NARMC, you will procure medical and non-medical supplies, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure our hospital operates efficiently. Job Summary The Buyer is responsible for procuring medical and non-medical supplies and equipment, preparing and negotiating vendor contracts, and managing purchase orders to support the hospital’s operational needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience in Materials Management or inventory control
Basic computer knowledge and purchasing experience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Nice To Haves

Experience with Meditech or similar inventory management systems
Knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes

Responsibilities

Review Meditech reports daily to monitor supply inventory levels and anticipate purchase needs.
Create and process purchase orders for stock items reaching pre-determined reorder points.
Place orders with vendors via phone or electronic transmission as needed.
Meet with sales representatives to discuss and place orders.
Pick up supplies from vendors and ensure delivery to NARMC.
Provide support to department positions as needed, including Stock Clerk, Receiving Clerk, and Printer roles.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and vendor communications.
