About The Position

Performs broad assignments requiring considerable knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, sources, and materials.

Ensures adherence of purchased materials and products to Company, contractual and regulatory standards.

Resolves discrepancies in price, returns, shortages, or quality by renegotiating price, replacement, or back charges.

General understanding of FAR/DFARS

Requirements

• Computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and data base programs required.
• College degree or equivalent job training/experience.
• 3 - 6 years experience in purchasing and/or marine industry.
• General understanding of FAR/DFARS
