About The Position

Performs broad assignments requiring considerable knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, sources, and materials.

Performs various procurement assignments, including equipment purchases.

Ensures adherence of purchased materials and products to Company, contractual and regulatory standards.

Resolves discrepancies in price, returns, shortages, or quality by renegotiating price, replacement, or back charges.

General understanding of FAR/DFARS

Requirements

• HS diploma or equitant, college degree preferred or equivalent job training/experience.
• 3 - 6 years experience in marine industry.
• 1-3 years experience of FAR/DFARS.
• Understanding of marine structural drawings and material planning, and the procurement process from start to finish.
• Computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office and data base programs required.
