About The Position

ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac is currently searching for Buyer Assistant to work in our dealership located in Ballwin, MO. This position is responsible for accurately previewing and communicating cosmetic and mechanical conditions to the Buyer and/or Used Car Manager.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).
• Must be willing to take a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Must have a working knowledge of vehicle conditions and operations.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
• Ability to work in all weather environments.
• Coachable with a strong willingness to learn and retain information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information about the appraisal to the Buyer and the Used Car Manager.
• Become proficient in VAuto-Provision and all of its functions.
• Act as an interface between suppliers and the Used Car Departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
• Partner with the Sales Department to conduct lot merchandising as needed.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines and purchasing policies.
• Effectively and professionally communicate with customers and dealership staff.
