Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, the Buyer 2 position helps to execute company purchasing needs and provides best value and service for internal customers. Converts purchasing requests into purchase orders quickly, ensures acknowledgment of the receipt of the purchase order, and ensuring customer needs are met with on-time delivery by weekly scheduling with suppliers. Attend weekly meetings with suppliers and the internal production groups. Provides support in functional areas of the procurement department and assists with various other activities as required. Must be able to analyze categories based on pricing, technology, availability, and continuous Improvement. Some administrative support may be required. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
