About The Position

The position involves observing guests' personal preferences and habits to anticipate their needs with discretion. The individual will act as a liaison between the guest and the hotel, overseeing guest needs during their stay, assisting with reservations, special requests, room orientation, luggage handling, and more. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of service and hospitality, ensuring guest recognition for future visits, and keeping a critical eye on room cleanliness and hotel standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of hotel reservation, guest services, housekeeping, and/or front office experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Tact, good judgment, and proven experience interacting with customers and hotel management.
  • Efficient technical skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and good internet navigation skills.
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems and operational proficiency.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree preferred.
  • TABC Certified.

Responsibilities

  • Report for duty on time and adhere to grooming standards.

  • Register all information and updates learned during the day.
  • Follow up on guest needs until total satisfaction is achieved.
  • Maintain a daily agenda for guests and track their locations.
  • Welcome guests at the main entrance when appropriate.
  • Greet suite guests and escort them to their allocated rooms.
  • Update Butler Pass On with guest details and movements.
  • Offer suite orientation to arriving guests.
  • Provide unpacking and packing services for luggage.
  • Coordinate laundry services with valet service.
  • Maintain guest room and wardrobe cleanliness.
  • Arrange and refresh amenities according to guest wishes.
  • Clean and polish cutlery, glasses, and dishes in suites.
  • Coordinate with front desk for expedited check-in and check-out.
  • Deliver mail, packages, and messages promptly.
  • Inform housekeeping of desired cleaning times.
  • Communicate guest dietary restrictions to relevant departments.
  • Be conversant with hotel services, promotions, and guest activities.
  • Upsell services and amenities based on guest preferences.
  • Assist in arranging medical assistance when needed.
  • Inspect suites for guest preferences and comfort.
  • Conduct daily calls to verify guest well-being.
  • Monitor operating supplies and reduce waste.
  • Host and welcome guests graciously.
  • Ensure communication is appropriate for a Forbes 5 Star environment.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Inspect suites during guest stays for preferences.
  • Assist Guest Services Manager with organizing amenities.
  • Update SAG Report daily.
  • Handle guest inquiries efficiently.
  • Bid farewell to guests appropriately.
  • Fill out internal communication forms as needed.
  • Ensure guest preferences are registered in their PMS profile.
  • Monitor and stock inventory, reporting needs to management.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training.
  • Project a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned.
