About The Position

Overview: This position will serve as a supportive role within Butler Machinery performing various tasks related to the operations of the enterprise with the goal of learning and understanding the equipment business in anticipation of a possible, future full-time position. Sales Support:   Assist the Sales team with customer site visits, ride‑alongs, and relationship‑building activities. Learn Butler’s sales processes, techniques, and product offerings across Ag and Construction lines. Support daily paperwork flow, quoting, and internal communication between departments. Assist with market research, product comparisons, and basic pricing or competitive analysis. Help maintain sales resources and prepare materials for customer meetings or events. Participate in special projects assigned by Store Manager.  Work within and promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of BMC.  Perform other duties as assigned.  Parts Operations & Support Support the Parts Department with a variety of operational projects. Procure parts for the Service Department to ensure timely job completion. Process orders for counter sales and internal service requests. Accurately pick, stage, and fill orders to support efficient workflow. Deliver parts to the Service Department in a timely and organized manner.

Requirements

  • Candidates who are working towards a degree in Agricultural Business or other related major in college preferred.
  • Computer skills essential with experience in Power-Point and Excel required.
  • Position would require a minimum of 10 to 15 hours per week during the school year, potentially 40 hours outside of the school year.
  • Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
