About The Position

We are seeking a professional butcher to prepare meat to the chef’s exact specifications by using a wide variety of processes including handling, deboning, trimming, grinding, or tenderizing cuts of meat. A successful butcher candidate will play a key role in our preparation team.

Requirements

  • Proven butcher experience
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
  • Familiarity with food health and safety guidelines.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Reliable transportation

  • Meat cutting: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking of various cooking stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, following various recipes.
  • Answer, report and follow Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow line cooks, coworkers and guests.
