Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Seafood/Butcher Block department to deliver superior customer service and sales performance
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and assign work to seafood clerks to ensure optimal staffing and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising programs, COOL requirements, markdown policies, and company standards
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering product, receiving shipments, quality checks, and daily inventory counts
  • Prepare seafood products by cleaning, cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and displaying items for sale
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to the seafood department
  • Monitor food safety standards, including temperature logs, tare checks, and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Operate and oversee use of department equipment, including electronic scanning scales
  • Communicate updates through company systems and perform additional duties as assigned
