The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for Busway Shipping Associate - Level III to join our team on 3rd shift! This position will be based at our Roebuck, SC manufacturing site. The position will require recording items and crating them for shipment on our shipping dock.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
  • Ability to complete a 1/4 mile walk within 7 minutes.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Sustain a grip of at least 26 lbs using two fingers.
  • Stand for 30 minutes.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tools and equipment common to the material handling trade (e.g. manual and powered sit-down and stand-up industrial trucks).
  • Complete crating for custom parts shipment.
  • Pull packaged and palletized parts from Busway product line for shipment.
  • Utilize measuring instrumentation to ensure proper sizing of materials for custom packing.
  • Utilize mechanical saw to cut boxes and crates according to specified dimensions.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is included on packaging.
  • Operate power tools and banding equipment common to the material handling trade (e.g. cranes, staples/nail guns, pallet jack, strapping machines, and sit down powered industrial trucks).
  • Operate shrink wrapping machine to secure package material.
  • Load packaged product onto trailers.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, work area and back yard shipping area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
  • Provide support on the assembly line as an operator as needed.
  • Perform other work as directed by Supervision.
