About The Position

Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests clearing and setting up tables. Clean and set up tables in the outlet and perform other food service-related duties, including food running as needed.

Requirements

High school or equivalent education required.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Knowledge of The Ranch operations, its services, and facilities.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and subordinates.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of The Ranch’s facilities.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.
The ideal candidate has worked in full-service restaurant in a hotel or resort environment.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests according to FORBES and Ranch LB standards.
Ensure all stations and table set-ups are complete prior to and after meal service.
Assist servers with delivering drinks and refilling drinks during meal service.
Assist servers with marking the tables with proper silverware and dishes.
Remove plates and glassware from table upon meal completion.
Perform various side duties as assigned by the Restaurant Managers and Supervisors.
Clean, set and re-set tables continuously, assuming responsibility for station, tables and side duties.
Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
Provide professional and friendly service according to FORBES and the Ranch at Laguna Beach standards to ensure positive experience for all guests and team members.
Assist with food running as needed.
Fold napkins for meal periods to maintain an adequate supply.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
