About The Position

The Busser plays a key role in ensuring that guests have a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable dining experience. This position is responsible for clearing tables, setting up dining areas, refilling drinks, and assisting servers in maintaining a smooth flow of service. A busser’s role is essential to the efficiency and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Provides extraordinary service consistent with the luxury brand standards Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome. Assist in guiding guests through all phases of their experience at the restaurant. Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, as well as wine lists, including: ingredients, preparation, and sourcing. Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of all menu items, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Consistently follow sequence of service, utilizing all proper procedures standardized by room management. Attend and actively participate in daily team updates and scheduled training sessions and retain knowledge covered therein. Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach. Bid farewell to guests, using the guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return. Maintain a level of professionalism. Anticipate the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency. Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet. Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Must have understanding of advanced pastry techniques.
  • Knowledge of all health code standards and being able to demonstrate that knowledge in holding working standards.
  • Work requires the ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Work requires a neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
  • One (1) year experience working in a full-service restaurant
