This position requires weekend and night shift availability. A LITTLE ABOUT US The San Pedro Square Market, located in the heart of downtown San Jose, is a vibrant public market with over 20 unique vendors made up of retail shops, eateries, and bars. The ultimate meet-up spot, the market features the historic Peralta Adobe open-air plaza, a sidewalk cafe, as well as three interior spaces. Palisades Hospitality manages four unique bar concepts located in San Pedro Square Market: Market Bar, Market Beer Co., Three Sisters, and Alma Tequileria. WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A BUSSER As a Busser at our market, you will play a vital role in assisting the bars in delivering exceptional beverage service to our guests. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our guests have a memorable experience by maintaining the cleanliness of tables, service areas, and equipment. You will also be responsible for stocking all necessary wares and equipment needed for service. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the overall success of our market and uphold our dedication to excellence. ARE YOU THE BUSSER WE'RE LOOKING FOR? To excel in the role of a Busser at our location, there are several essential skills and qualifications that you should possess. First and foremost, the ability to anticipate and understand guests' service needs is crucial to provide exceptional customer service. Additionally, being well-organized, attention to detail, following directions thoroughly, and being able to exert physical effort when transporting supplies and trays are also necessary for success in this position. You should be able to work cohesively with your co-workers as part of a team. Prior experience as a Busser for at least six months, satisfactory English communication skills, and possessing a Food Handlers Certification are also required. Above all, we are seeking a team player who is willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.
