Job Summary: A Busser plays a crucial support role in the dining experience by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Bussers are responsible for clearing tables, refilling water, resetting tables, and ensuring the front-of-house remains clean and welcoming for guests. They work closely with servers and other front-of-house staff to deliver seamless, efficient service.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, bend, stoop, and move quickly.
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Must have a professional and clean appearance.
Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently between guests.
- Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware and transport them to the dishwashing area.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and high-touch areas.
- Refill water glasses and assist servers in delivering food and beverages when needed.
- Keep dining areas clean and well-organized, including floors, service stations, and restrooms.
- Restock service stations with napkins, silverware, condiments, and other supplies.
- Assist in setting up the dining room before service and breaking it down after closing.
- Monitor and respond promptly to guest requests or server needs.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow.
