About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The following job description details the scope of responsibility and specific areas of responsibility regarding the Busser position. The Senior Food & Beverage Manager has the authority to add to, take from or otherwise change the scope of responsibilities as necessary to properly manage the day-to-day operation of the Big Canoe Property Owners Association (POA). This position helps the Servers and Bartenders improve the dining experience for our guests. They play a crucial part in a restaurant, performing a range of duties including cleaning and resetting tables, greeting new tables with water, stocking their station and assisting servers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Primary job functions include cleaning and resetting tables  The ability to interact with guests and help with service  Attention to detail and organization skills to make sure tables are cleaned and reset properly  Cleaning and refilling all food plates, bowls, and utensils  Ability to lift boxes and trays occasionally up to 25lbs. Standing on one’s feet in a fast paced environment for a period of approximately 4 hours or longer  At the end of the shift, the dining room is broken down and reset for the next day’s service, including all mise en place, condiments, tools, and garbage pails cleaned/lined  Maybe asked to perform other related tasks or duties as deemed necessary QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS  High School Diploma or equivalent  Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required  Must be able to take direction and be Coachable PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT  Must be able to stand and move around for long periods of time  Must be able to work 7-10 hour shifts (with breaks)  Must be able to lift 40 pounds  Able to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam, heat, and work in a confined space Must be authorized to work in the US. Must be able to pass a drug screen test and background check. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
