Your Role & Impact To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Food and Beverage Manager/Restaurant Manager when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction. Set up station in the kitchen. To extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart. Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately Acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies) Assist the wait staff in the service of food in accordance with the established standards. Assist in table set up and cleaning. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant in all areas. Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins Serve welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres, upon guests’ arrival Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed Remove dirty dishes and utensils Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check) Maintain the orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas. To make the Food and Beverage Manager aware of all guest comments and complaints. To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage. To follow all company policies and procedures. To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times. Follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others. To attend all mandatory meetings as directed. To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
