About The Position

The Busser, Backwater, & Set-Up Support role is essential to the smooth operation of dining and event service. This team member ensures the dining room is impeccably prepared, tables are properly maintained throughout service, and guests experience attentive, seamless hospitality. This position supports servers and management in creating a polished and professional dining environment, with a focus on efficiency, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Requirements

Previous restaurant or event service experience preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Strong sense of timing, organization, and professionalism.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare and set dining areas according to floor plan and service standards.
Polish glassware, cutlery, and service ware to ensure readiness for service.
Stock and organize side stations, linen, and service areas.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of special events and private functions.
Ensure all tables are correctly marked and chairs aligned before service.
Maintain a constant floor presence, attentive to guest and server needs.
Clear and reset tables promptly and quietly between courses or seatings.
Refill water and bread service as needed, ensuring proper presentation.
Support servers by running food, delivering condiments, and resetting tables efficiently.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the dining room, including glass polishing, sweeping, and wiping surfaces.
Communicate effectively with captains, servers, and management to maintain flow and timing of service.
Assist in clearing, cleaning, and resetting the dining room for the next shift or event.
Restock side stations and polish items as needed.
Support event turnover and breakdowns, including moving tables, chairs, and service equipment.
