Summary of Responsibility: We are seeking an individual that is detail-orientated and proactive to take on the challenging role of The Business Unit Manager. This person will provide strategic leadership and oversight for regional technical teams to drive sales performance, market growth, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for aligning people, processes, and resources to strengthen brand presence, expand market share, and meet or exceed company revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated success in sales, with prior experience in personnel or team management
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to drive informed business decisions
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage proactively and efficiently with internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to develop, implement, and execute strategic action plans to meet or exceed sales and performance goals
  • High level of proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required to support business and customer needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the machine tool or manufacturing industry preferred; strong technical aptitude is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent customer experience at all levels in all departments
  • Strategically drive activities of regional technical specialists and other resources to increase brand awareness and machine unit sales to grow market share.
  • Build strong relationships with Distribution and end-user customers
  • Coordinate activities with marketing based on territory need
  • Develop and implement action plans to increase company product presence through in person and/or phone contact with distribution stakeholders
  • Create forecasts to communicate sales/marketing initiatives issues, and trends
  • Coordinate inventory management through FIFO, limiting demo machines, incentivizing sales of aging machines, etc.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure Statements of Work (SOW) are created and adhered to
  • Create deal sheets and pricing for the product line
  • Conduct Annual Performance Evaluations for all direct-reports
  • Interview and hiring of key personnel
  • Perform related duties as required.
