The Business Unit Manager (BUM) is responsible for the results of a Business Unit by utilizing the value-generation strategy, including value-based pricing, profitable new business, and productivity resulting in consistent year-over-year growth while exceeding customer expectations. The Business Unit Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is a forward, customer-facing role. The majority of the BUM's time is spent on customer-facing activities and includes customer relations, value-based pricing, contract review and negotiations, new business development, and Business Unit Bookings. The scope of this position includes Profit and Loss accountability and leadership of a cross functional Business Unit Team (consisting of Sales, Operations and Engineering). This is a key development position for promotion to senior management positions.
