About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead production employees on the 1st shift in a food manufacturing environment while driving process improvements, meeting production KPI goals, and fostering a culture centered around safety, quality, cost, and engagement. You will guide daily operations, manage resources, and support an environment that reinforces operational excellence. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Oversee multiple production lines within the cell to maintain expectations for quality, productivity, and cost. Train and develop team members to support effective performance of job responsibilities. Support sanitation operations to help maintain a clean and food‑safe facility. Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures on a consistent basis. Review team performance and provide coaching to support improvement and development. Promote compliance with safety programs, including lock‑out/tag‑out, personal protective equipment, and confined space guidelines. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while promoting continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are maintained or exceeded. Lead projects involving root‑cause analysis and guide Kaizen events to support sustainable process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and plant safety standards.
  • Familiarity with SAP and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to work weekends and flexible hours based on the needs of the operation.
  • Self‑motivated work approach with a strong work ethic and proven record leading teams and managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food processing preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM).
