The Business Unit Leader is a dynamic and people-focused leader who drives operational excellence, fosters team development, and champions company values. As a member of the Manufacturing Operations team, the mission of the Business Unit Leader is to create the conditions & to empower their teams, in order to succeed in delivering sustainable value for People, Profit & Planet. The Business Unit Leader leads their business unit to achieve their performance goals in safety, machine availability, quality, delivery and cost. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in achieving a long-term goal and learning something new.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team or project group by setting clear goals, delegating tasks effectively, providing regular feedback/coaching, leading by example, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • The ability to interact in a professional manner with internal partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Microsoft Excel data analysis proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of successful employee performance management (to include attendance, productivity, skill development, and team management) is preferred.
  • Microsoft Power BI would be a plus.

  • Aligning the vision at the shop level and engaging the teams to make that vision a reality at the site

  • Ensure accurate, on-time completion of time and attendance for employees and address attendance issues in a timely fashion
  • Developing Safety as a value in the Business Unit, such as each employee is responsible for their safety and the safety of others.
  • Customer & business partner: the Business Unit Leader understands the customers’ needs and the business stakes and guides the teams to be customer centric.
  • Develop an understanding of the Customer/partners and their requirements and the role their Business Unit has in meeting their expectations.
  • Steer their Business Unit, focused on all dimensions of economic value creation.
  • Support the business through cooperation with local teams for: industrializations, modifications, digitalization, Industry transformations, etc.
  • Environment promoter: the Business Unit Leader is viewed as an active promoter and influencer for continuous improvement in the environmental impact of their Business Unit by:
  • Promoting a culture that is aware and values sustainability and environment.
  • Complying/Implementing the strategy for environmental impact and biodiversity.
  • ICARE & Empowerment role model: the Business Unit Leader is visibly striving to lead with the ICARE leadership model and inspires and coaches their team to progress in that direction.

  • The driving of continuous progress in the Business Unit, looking for variation reduction and non-added value tasks reduction, is vigorous.
  • Achieve Business Unit SMQDC expected performance levels and respect of standards to satisfy customer demand.
  • The team and its members are empowered
  • Complete department records as required.
  • Effectively notify Team Leader and/or Production Facilitator when equipment or product fails to meet safety or quality standards.
  • Contribute/lead problem resolution or continuous improvement efforts in the areas of SMQDC (Safety, Machine, Quality, Delivery and Cost).
  • Participate in on-the-job activities, informal and formal training to continually learn/apply new skills for the current job and your desired career path.
  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by leadership.
