About The Position

The Business Unit Leader will be responsible for driving the execution and business performance of our operations while ensuring the unit has the necessary staff and resources to thrive. This key leadership role oversees live production operations, egg grading/processing, liquid egg processing, and maintenance functions. The ideal candidate will prioritize the safety and security of our 45+ workforce, promote environmental stewardship, and maintain compliance with customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Central to this position is the ability to foster a culture that fully engages all employees and stakeholders through our shared values and guiding principles. The Business Unit Leader will focus on efficient production of safe, high-quality whole foods while upholding stringent safety standards and sustainable practices. Although this role may not have immediate responsibilities over all Production areas, the successful candidate will demonstrate dynamic growth potential and readiness for further development within the organization.

  • Expertise in optimizing production processes and improving operational efficiency
  • Understanding of relevant regulations in the food production industry
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Bachelors' degree in Operations Management, Business, Agriculture, or related field or equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in operations management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in various climate conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in Agriculture or a related field
  • 8 or more years of experience as a lead/supervisor or manager position.
  • Previous poultry or in large-scale animal agriculture industry experience.
  • Previous experience in Live Haul operations
  • Feed Haul and Feed Mill management
  • Breeder and Broiler production
  • Hatchery operations
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or process improvement initiatives.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
