About The Position

The job entails working directly with People Solution (Employee Benefits) leaders & stakeholders on technology needs, understanding their priorities, roadmaps and challenges--making recommendations on go forward solutions. The Business Technology Solutions Lead facilitates the business-case development, prioritization, discovery, selection, and implementation of technical solutions by providing consultative subject-matter expertise on business processes and associated technology needs. This role will also work closely with IT Associates and business stakeholders to deliver successful project results and help the organization deliver positive results. Champions the People Solutions technology needs within IT and Digital organizations. Listens to the business needs and provides consultation and options to solve. Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated business processes and associated technologies. Leads discovery efforts by guiding appropriate business and technology personnel through collaborative solutioning processes. Provides innovative thought leadership to solve business technology issues. Facilitates documentation activities throughout discovery and solutioning phases. Provides SME consultation as needed during all phases of the project delivery process and on designated operationalized systems/solutions. Employs problem solving and critical thinking skills to facilitate issue resolution for projects, processes, and operationalized systems/solutions. Supports business partners when reviewing new vendors or solutions and ushers through the due diligence process, participating in the vetting and recommendation process. Shepards technology initiatives on behalf of the People Solutions organization. Provides support to the project management function, regardless of discipline (e.g., DevOps, Business, Operations, Technical, Digital, etc.). Provides oversight and direction for small group of delivery team members—potential direct management of contributing team members. Facilitates communication between IT Associates, Digital Associates, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives. Functions as a liaison between different departments, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project/delivery lifecycle. Understands high-level technical requirements and outcomes for assigned projects/initiatives. Communicates any issues, problems, or additional information to project managers and project stakeholders and recommends solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Experience with agile/product/value-stream delivery models.
  • Led and/or managed small groups of contributing team members.
  • Ability to educate and lead others through discovery and solutioning activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Must be a driven self-starter and able to support delivery of broad portfolio.
  • Must cultivate trust through relationship building and delivery of solutions.
  • Strong discovery, critical thinking, time management, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business and technology understanding.
  • AI forward thinking.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, and CoPilot.
  • Experience with project and collaborations tools such as MS Teams, Azure DevOps (ADO), Webex, and Miro.
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Some off-hours support and travel is required.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and adheres to the Lockton philosophies.
  • Understands when circumstances require persuasion, conciliation, assertiveness, or other approaches and reacts appropriately.
