The Business Systems Specialist at GENEWIZ LLC is responsible for planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems that can be solved with automated systems. This role involves providing technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. The specialist will configure system settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements. In addition, the specialist will design the details of automated systems and consult with users regarding these systems. They will gather and validate business and technology requirements to establish the scope and parameters of requirements, defining project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics. The role also includes researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirement gathering processes, developing strategies for enhancement, and quantifying potential efficiency opportunities. Communication is key in this position, as the specialist will need to communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Collaboration with business and technology stakeholders is essential to translate high-level business requirements into functional and non-functional technical requirements. The specialist will support end users in all business functions, particularly in the use of the Netsuite ERP application, and will plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT). Monitoring project progress, identifying and escalating potential project risks and delays to management, and participating in internal and external audit control are also critical responsibilities. The specialist will work with software vendors and other third-party partners to resolve issues or develop solutions to business challenges with integrated platforms. This position allows for remote work within commuting distance of the worksite.
