About The Position

The Business Systems Intern shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position will provide business and systems expertise to The Navigators with responsibilities in Workday including Human Capital Management (HCM), Financial (to included Pledgemaker Donation Systems), and Recruiting.

Requirements

  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
  • One year of experience in software systems preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, Workday experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and Assist with the Workday modules that the Navigators use which include Payroll, Human Capital Management (HCM), Recruiting, and Financial Management.
  • Provide basic support with Workday software configuration issues.
  • Conduct and execute project planning and define the scope of the employee receivables and accounting process within Workday.
  • Become a Workday expert by researching new features and upcoming releases in Workday Community and training material.
  • Work with stakeholders to test, validate and optimizes all updated processes and integrations within Workday.
  • Participate in Navigators' on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver's Authorization, and other releases as required.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $18.00-24.00/hour
  • Hours/Week: 20 hours
  • Internship Length: Up to six months.
