Business Systems Engineer

Elation Health
$110,000 - $150,000

About The Position

Our team is committed to enhancing physician and patient quality of life through Elation, a SaaS cloud-based clinical platform. We’ve built a product that users love, and we plan to keep it that way by continuing to empathize with users and help them overcome challenges. We are looking for a forward-thinking Systems Engineer to join our team. This is not a traditional administration or development role. We are looking for someone who operates at the intersection of enterprise architecture and the future of AI-assisted development. You will be responsible to streamline how our entire suite of business systems work together. You won't be building in a vacuum: you will be the primary architect of a frictionless, automated ecosystem. You will be the primary engine driving our technical roadmap—partnering with leadership, including executives, to execute high-impact initiatives. You will ensure the integrity of critical components like Quote-to-Cash and be an integral part in our transition toward a modular, "Flow-first, AI-assisted" architecture that removes silos between Salesforce and our non-Salesforce stack.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and scaling business systems, with a preference for growth-oriented environments. You should have a deep understanding of the end-to-end contracting through invoicing lifecycle (beyond just tool-specific shortcuts).
  • Proven ability to apply systems thinking to complex problems. We value the ability to make high-level architectural decisions and manage system healthProven expertise in Salesforce administration and platform management
  • A self-starter who is "platform-agnostic" and capable of quickly learning and managing new systems as the business scales.

Nice To Haves

  • Netsuite experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ownership & Relationship Management
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Autonomously translate business problems into technical blueprints across business tools.
  • Quote to Cash: You are the primary technical expert for our quote to cash process, leveraging technology to streamline the process.
  • Mentorship: Guide and elevate team members on Salesforce best practices and AI development.
  • DevOps & Platform Reliability
  • Version Control Management: Strong understanding of version control and how it is leveraged for seamless deployments.
  • Technical Debt Reduction: Proactively identify opportunities to improve underlying Salesforce infrastructure so that system runs most optimally
  • Technical Governance ("The Code Gatekeeper")
  • Standardization: Create and enforce the "Playbook" for how our team builds—moving the org away from technical debt and toward a "Flow-first, AI-assisted" architecture.
  • Logic Review: Act as the final gatekeeper for team builds. You are responsible for ensuring all code (especially AI-generated code) is fully bulkified, secure, and follows strict error-handling standards.
  • Integration Architecture: Own the design and maintenance of robust integration patterns, utilizing External Services, Named Credentials, and Apex Callouts to connect our tech stack.
  • AI-Assisted Development & Innovation
  • Advanced LLM Workflow: Masterfully utilize Cursor and Claude to generate, debug, and refactor Apex and LWC. Take a business requirement and guide AI to produce production-ready, high-performance solutions.
  • Test Class Strategy: Leverage AI tools to maintain 90%+ test coverage, ensuring that custom-built integrations and logic remain resilient through every release.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of AI-assisted dev tools, identifying new ways to increase team velocity without sacrificing quality.
