About The Position

The Business Systems Engineer - Developer for Applications at Avantor is a senior role focused on the development and support of commercial applications, specifically within the SAP C4C Service Cloud environment. This position requires a deep understanding of business processes related to sales, pricing, billing, and customer relationship management (CRM). The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing system components, implementing technology standards, and providing hands-on software development and support. The role is remote and reports to the Delivery Manager Commercial.

Requirements

• A four-year college degree in a relevant discipline is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience with ABSL and UI Designer in SAP Cloud Applications Studio.
• Experience executing 2-3 projects in C4C Sales & Service Cloud.
• Proven proficiency in SAP C4C - Sales, Service & Marketing Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in developing and supporting SAP Cloud for Customer implementations.
• Experience in designing and developing Custom Business Objects and Extensions in SAP C4C.
• Knowledge of integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems using SOAP and ODATA web services.
• Familiarity with EDI/ALE and IDocs.

Nice To Haves

• SAP Certifications and/or courses are a plus.
• Exposure to C4C - BTP integration & SAP C4C Sales/Service Cloud V2 is a plus.
• Familiarity with integrations between C4C and SAP/non-SAP systems using CPI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system components for commercial applications.
• Implement technology standards and best practices in software development.
• Support and maintain existing SAP C4C applications and integrations.
• Work on business process re-engineering and process improvement initiatives.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications for development.
• Develop or modify interface maps between ERP/Cloud systems and middleware systems.
• Troubleshoot critical issues and implement solutions based on SAP best practices.
