About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team, responsible for overseeing the security software systems that protect the University of Utah's physical facilities. This role involves managing, supporting, and optimizing security software (access control system), as well as assisting with projects to enhance and expand the existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, the security systems team, and staff at the University to ensure seamless system integration, address vulnerabilities, and work on security-related projects from planning through implementation. Business Systems Analysts Analyze business issues, define requirements, design computer programs, and recommend automated system controls and protocols to solve organizational information issues. Determine operational objectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirements and formats. Work closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document systems requirements. Identify project milestones, phases, and elements, and keep team within timeline and budget. Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications. Develop organizational change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing. Maintain automated system protocols by writing and updating procedures. May create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and deliver training. Requirements

  • Business Systems Analyst, I: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master's (or equivalency) degree.
  • Business Systems Analyst, II: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
  • Business Systems Analyst, III: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C-Cure 9000 or similar access control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed documentation of security software configurations and procedures.
