The Business Systems Analyst position at Northampton Community College is a vital role responsible for providing analysis, programming, and systems support services for the College's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Student Information System (SIS), and related systems. This position serves as a crucial liaison between the Information Technology Services (ITS) department and the business system users, ensuring that key projects are executed effectively. The analyst will analyze complex business problems and determine appropriate IT solutions, while also assessing user needs and recommending processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires organizing and maintaining systems documentation and procedures for ITS and departmental support staff, and may involve assisting with training on supported systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the Business Systems Analyst will support departments in configuring, adopting, and testing system changes and upgrades. They will also be tasked with developing and supporting departments in generating reports and analytics, working collaboratively in a team environment to facilitate the integration needs of the College's data, financial, and human capital systems. The analyst will manage multiple complex tasks in a dynamic and agile environment, tracking and documenting work as part of larger project management and operational efforts. Furthermore, they will work with the College community and assigned departments to promote positive change management practices and facilitate the adoption of new features that benefit the College. Other projects may be assigned as needed, making this a diverse and engaging role within the institution.
