This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): MI and NC. This position helps drive infrastructure engineering projects by analyzing requirements, developing project plans and organizing meetings to help drive/track delivery. Serves as a technical expert on Atlassian Jira and Microsoft Project. Continuously monitors project milestones and task deadlines and escalates to senior management when appropriate to help resolve project roadblocks. Assists in identifying and resolving process issues impacting deliverables. Collaborates with other PMO Agile project managers on the development of Agile and Jira corporate standards. May oversee the work of less experienced project managers in the work group.

  • Develops project plans and Jira stories.
  • Drives Jira adoption.
  • Establishes operating processes for Jira and coaches team members on the use of the product.
  • Documents infrastructure standards regarding the use of Jira.
  • Leads project meetings and creates artifacts to memorialize decisions and drive subsequent meetings.
  • Sources, compiles, and interprets data.
  • Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
  • Produces advanced reporting based on data analysis, user input, and system testing.
  • Identifies patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.
  • May develop process enhancements based on analysis results.
  • Coordinates multiple agile team's release cadence, key milestones for preparedness, and participates in release night activities.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support.
  • Current contractor/contingent worker for First Citizens Bank.
  • Knowledge of First Citizens Bank systems and processes.
  • Experienced with enterprise infrastructure projects including the development of project plans to track task dependencies and the use of Jira to track work effort.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian Jira.
  • Strong Banking Domain knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrable bias toward action.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and business partners.
  • Experience documenting designs from both business and systems perspectives.
  • Experience juggling multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience in data analytics and capable of digging into data.
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally with other geographies.
