Arch Insurance Group, Inc., seeks Business Systems Analyst III, in Jersey City, NJ Job Duties: Responsible for collaborating with the IT product owners and business system owners, and users to capture the right business requests and accurately translate them to specifications that aid design, coding and testing of complex software and/or data warehouse applications within the organization. Serve as liaison between the IT product owner, business users, software engineers and QA analysts for implementing software solutions in order to accurately realize business goals. Work with the business users and IT product owner to accurately capture all stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications which typically include functional, non-functional, user interface, reports and external interface specifications. Work with software engineers to ensure that the engineering realization is in accordance with the business specification. Work with testers to ensure that all software components are tested adequately and participate in Quality Assurance testing as the IT workload requires. Provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives. Manage requirements risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues and devising methods to mitigating them. Liaise with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues. Analyze, map and communicate current state and future state business processes. Support business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues. Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards, and practices. Collaborate with IT management to define and develop documentation, and business analysis artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, as Data Engineer, Developer or related position.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with: Data warehouse applications Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or related.
  • Working with business analysis processes, techniques and work products in a Scrum Agile environment.
  • Working in JIRA to write user stories.
  • User experience design for web applications.
  • Serving as primary point of contact in a production support capacity for multiple technology systems and as a point of triage to disseminate bugs or enhancements to the team.
  • Agile software development processes, including translation of business requirements into user stories, stakeholder management and product ownership.
  • Working in a business facing IT role.
  • Collaborating with users who integrate AI-driven solutions into insurance platforms.
  • Cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for model deployment and scalability.
  • Cross-functional teams to enhance business efficiency and customer experience.
  • Must have experience with modern technology stacks.
  • Or in the alternate will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, as Data Engineer, Developer or related position.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with: Data warehouse applications Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or related.
  • Working with business analysis processes, techniques and work products in a Scrum Agile environment.
  • Working in JIRA to write user stories.
  • User experience design for web applications.

  • National travel required 15% of the time to attend trainings and onsite team/department meetings at other office locations.
