Position overview: Partners with business units to gather and review system requirements to support organizational and tactical projects. Acts a key liaison between technology and business units, providing guidance, influencing solution design, and implementing effective solutions. Partners closely with business units to perform business analysis and produce cases for evaluation for process or system improvements. Creates test scripts and documents the testing process to assist all aspects of the organization in adequate testing practices. Ensures that all test documentation has been categorized and archived. Partners closely with Project Management to adhere to standard processes, while taking on more complex projects to deliver results to the business. Collaborates with project teams to produce project requirements for system evaluations and future system selection. Creates technical project documentation used for future system support and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum three years of progressive business analysis experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating process designs, development, and implementation of software, systems, or products.
  • Knowledge of system evaluation and selection processes.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements in technical and user-friendly language.
  • Proficiency in creating and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of business analyst processes and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally in group and individual settings and develop positive internal working relationships.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply solid judgment, initiative, and tact in communications with members and coworkers.
  • Maintains high standards in areas of security, accuracy, thoroughness, completeness and neatness of documentation, system input, and correspondence.
  • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Successful at balancing responsibilities to ensure completion by deadlines.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
  • Must be technologically savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software applications.
  • Flexibility to deal with unexpected events and occasionally attend meetings and events that may occur outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
  • Hours of this position are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Initial training on-site daily for at least first two weeks.
  • This position is a hybrid work model with on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with business units to improve current or future systems and processes in accordance with defined framework requirements, design, concept sign-off, system configuration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Works closely with business units to capture and understand issues with systems or processes. Partners with Technology, providing resolutions and recommendations to the business unit.
  • Creates testing processes for all areas of the organization to ensure that systems are properly tested and that proper test scripts are developed, followed, and archived for future needs of the business.
  • Participates in complex organizational projects and works closely with project management to ensure that all project documentation has been captured including requirements, process workflows, system diagrams, member journey, and support documentation.
  • Partners with other business analysts to complete peer review of documentation and provides guidance as necessary. Ensures consistency and processes are being followed as outlined.
  • Collaborates as a team to find possible solutions to problems business units are facing.
  • Guides and influences lines of business on solution design that positively impact processes and reduces the need for manual intervention.
  • Participates in efforts to refine and improve business analysis processes and methodologies, contributing to the development of standards and framework practices.
