Job Summary The Business Focused Business Systems Analyst I supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of business processes across reagent product lifecycle operations. This role centers on understanding business needs, documenting processes, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting with cross functional alignment. The analyst collaborates with data and process owners to translate business requirements into practical workflows and supports compliance, training, and continuous improvement efforts. This position participates in simple to moderately complex business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or technical field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience working with business processes, data accuracy, or systems supporting operations OR relevant experience of at least 8 years.
  • Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments preferred.
  • Basic understanding of product lifecycle business processes.
  • Knowledge of structured documentation, change control, and quality systems (ISO, GMP).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAP from a business‑user perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating business process issues and proposing solutions within the PLM application to meet user needs.
  • Participate in discussions about business requirements, cross functional dependencies, and process impacts.
  • Document business workflows and validate their translation into system processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure system functionality aligns with actual business practices.
  • Recommend process improvements aligned with organizational and strategic goals.
  • Support cross functional information integration across departments.
  • Review functional specifications to ensure business needs are accurately represented.
  • Assist in establishing, communicating, and enforcing data standards to maintain business data integrity.
  • Contribute to data quality efforts during business‑driven system or database changes.
  • Maintain working knowledge of business processes and product lifecycle operations.
  • Develop and deliver training on business processes and system usage.
  • Stay current on compliance requirements and support documentation and audit readiness.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies.
  • Report hazardous conditions and follow compliance training expectations.
  • Perform other business‑related duties as assigned.
