Job Description: This job is responsible for managing the coordination and delivery of diverse administrative functions for a department or line of business. Key responsibilities include acting as a central point of contact for senior leadership routines and activities, financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, associate training, service quality, process improvements, business continuity, and communications. Job expectations include interacting with a wide variety of business partners to deliver strategic work efforts to ensure tactical priorities are met. The Business Support Manager plays a critical role in driving strategic, operational, and administrative functions that support the success of Global Commercial Banking AML Operations. This position requires strong knowledge of AML operational lifecycle—including KYC (Know Your Customer), CDD (Customer Due Diligence), onboarding, refresh, and regulatory reporting processes—and the ability to partner with senior leaders to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3–5 years in AML Operations, business support and risk management experience in a complex organization supporting senior leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of AML standards, KYC/CDD processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to develop executive-ready communications and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Leads communication, coordination and connectivity across the leadership team
  • Partners with peers and control partners to ensure strong engagement and adherence to risk management and operational risk policies and processes
  • Drives the successful execution of team events and routines, including logistics, communications and gathering feedback
  • Develops comprehensive plans around key organizational priorities and ensures all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities
  • Partners with reporting and analytics team to ensure accurate reporting while seeking opportunities to reduce manual processes
  • Assists senior executive and team with a full range of engagements, including process improvement and project initiatives
  • Provides oversight of key deliverables and validates accurate and timely completion
  • Partner with AML Operations and GCB leadership to execute strategic initiatives aligned with AML goals and business objectives.
  • Coordinate operational reviews, leadership routines, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level summaries, business updates, and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen risk mitigation within AML Operations.
  • Support governance routines and ensure AML Operations adhere to enterprise policies, control frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
  • Track and report on internal audit, compliance, and regulatory findings; ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise AML partners to address control gaps and enhance AML programs.
  • Develop understanding of AML Operations’ structure and performance drivers to support headcount and capacity planning.
  • Partner with HR for budget tracking, staffing, and workforce optimization.
  • Lead coordination of hiring plans, onboarding, and resource forecasting.
  • Act as liaison between AML Operations, GCB business partners, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Draft and manage leadership communications, key messages, and organizational announcements.
  • Support executive updates for internal and external audiences, including risk committees and governance forums.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives focused on operational enhancements, automation, and process simplification.
  • Leverage AML expertise to identify improvement opportunities in Refresh and other AML processes.
  • Develop project plans, monitor milestones, and deliver reporting for leadership visibility.
