About The Position

Farmers Union Insurance is seeking a Business Support Analyst to make independent, creative, and technical contributions by identifying end-user business and functional requirements for business solutions, system enhancements, workflow optimization, reporting, and end-user training. This role leverages insurance industry knowledge and an understanding of data flow within relational databases to support new projects, system utilization, and ongoing departmental technical needs. The Business Support Analyst plays a key role in designing, developing, and supporting solutions that align with business strategies and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL
  • Strong technology, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both strategic and functional levels
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Results-oriented with a strong ability to execute large initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong preference for Property & Casual (P&C) insurance industry experience and understanding
  • Prefer a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in an IT-focused environment beneficial
  • This position requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods and communicate effectively with others.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, and use of office equipment are required.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle may be required for certain job-related duties.

  • Insurance designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pull, distribute, and assist in analyzing company and industry data as requested by stakeholders
  • Lead the design and development of reporting tools across business functions
  • Lead management of form and endorsement databases and assist with form design
  • Support projects that address business and operational needs
  • Assist with vendor integrations to support internal customers
  • Assist in the development of training and marketing materials
  • Participate in system testing, development design reviews, usability studies, status meetings, and walkthroughs
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with business needs and strategies
  • Develop an understanding of company testing methods, equipment, and related data and reporting requirements
  • Analyze system metrics and results to ensure alignment with corporate standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
