About The Position

The Business Strategy Intern position at Energy Solutions is a full-time role (30-40 hrs/week) focused on supporting the zonal electrification pilot, a decarbonization strategy aimed at fully electrifying homes and commercial buildings within target neighborhoods. The intern will create a database of relevant zonal projects across the country, research their strategies and outcomes, and communicate findings to inform the current strategy. The role involves direct interaction with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and industry professionals, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the pilot program's success. Additionally, the intern will support the CalNEXT CHPWH Distribution System Focused Pilot by developing contractor-facing best practices guides and conducting focus groups to understand future guide implementation strategies. This position emphasizes cross-collaboration with multiple teams and offers valuable insights into the energy efficiency industry.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full- or part-time in an undergraduate program as a second to fourth-year student or enrolled in a graduate program.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience gathering, tracking, and sorting data.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a variety of teams.
• Data Analysis skill or knowledge of the Energy Efficiency industry is a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Compensation for undergraduate students: $21/hr.
• Compensation for graduate students: $24/hr.
