About The Position

The Business Strategy and Analytics Internship at GEICO offers a hands-on experience in the Product Management department, focusing on insurance product strategy and data analysis. Interns will work on impactful projects that contribute to GEICO's growth and profitability, while also gaining insights into the insurance industry through mentorship and presentations to senior management.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant major
• Expected graduation between December 2025 and May 2026
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities
• Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, and data management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and some programming skills
• Must live within commutable distance from Chevy Chase, MD office

Responsibilities

• Research creative ways to assess risk
• Understand and predict customer behavior and the likelihood of a claim
• Work on strategic and analytical projects impacting GEICO's growth and profitability
• Query large datasets via SQL/SAS and analyze metrics in Excel
• Develop and present projects to senior management
• Learn about collaboration with state insurance departments and regulators
• Meet regularly with analysts and state managers for mentorship
• Attend panel discussions with senior leaders to gain industry insights
