About The Position

Superior Insurance Partners is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage platform, focused primarily on providing commercial lines, personal lines, and employee benefit solutions to companies and individuals. Superior acquires and partners with leading independent insurance agencies primarily in the Midwest and Eastern US. The company’s mission is to improve the lives of its agency partners. Superior does this by creating a highly tailored plan for each of its agency partners to help them achieve their goals, and providing customized resources including accounting/finance, recruiting, HR, AMS/IT, marketing, and M&A support. Agency partners are aligned through long-term economic incentives while leveraging the benefits of best practices, scale, and resources across Superior’s shared platform. Superior is backed by Tyree & D'Angelo Partners (“TDP”), a leading Chicago-based private equity firm that makes control ownership investments in, and partners with, lower middle market businesses with the goal of creating meaningful value for all involved. TDP is currently investing out of its third fund and has managed and created over $3 billion of capital and company enterprise value. TDP has significant experience investing in service businesses and has completed over 1000 investment partnerships in its history. We are seeking a Business Analyst who will support the Strategy, Sales, and Operations teams in reviewing and analyzing business operations and key performance indicators. The candidate will join a highly collaborative and motivated team in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a strong desire and passion for data / financial analysis, problem-solving, and building processes, as well as a great goal-oriented attitude and a desire to help others. Preferably, the candidate will have experience in acquisitions, financings, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, or industry experience in multi-site service companies working with small business owners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to five years of experience in data, finance, or accounting required; undergraduate degree in data, finance, or accounting a plus.
  • Strong undergraduate academic performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including prior experience communicating with small business owners, is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a financial analyst is a plus.
  • Prior experience in M&A or multi-site companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create data analysis procedures that align with business objectives
  • Collect, organize, and analyze sales and operational data for Superior's leadership team
  • Identify patterns and trends in the analyzed data to help with operational improvement and the execution of our business objectives
  • Create presentation materials using PowerPoint that will be presented and distributed to Superior's Agency Partners and Producers
  • Support our Monthly Operating Review process by creating and reviewing materials that are presented to Agency Partners each month, as well as following up on action items from those meetings
  • Support our Integrations Lead in integrating new Agency Partners into our Sales and Operations functions
