About The Position
The Business Steering and Digitalization Intern position at BMW Manufacturing Company offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. This internship is designed for students who are eager to learn and contribute from day one, allowing them to take on meaningful responsibilities and bring their own ideas to the table. The intern will play a crucial role in coordinating steering and communications for the PI-4 Region both regionally and internationally across various market operations service areas, including Provider Management, Environment Management, Security Management, Facility Management, Energy Management, Project Management, Risk Management, and Quality Management. The intern will be expected to provide innovative input to continuously improve systems and processes within the Region Americas, particularly in the areas of Facility Management, Energy, Security, and Space Provision. This role involves supporting communications, quality, and innovations to ensure that strategic targets are met. The intern will publish newsletters regionally twice a month and internationally twice every six months, communicate the “Headline of the Week” twice a month, and coordinate and facilitate Marketplace workshops twice every six months. Additionally, the intern will organize infoshare meetings, maintain intranet sites, update organizational charts, and suggest improvements to the Department Guidebook. The internship also includes responsibilities such as coordinating and distributing surveys, conducting post-analysis of results, and working on special projects defined jointly by the student and mentor. The intern will have the opportunity to revamp the intranet, enhance newsletter formats, document processes and methods, and plan special events throughout the year, including department meetings and end-of-year celebrations. This internship is an excellent way for students to gain practical experience while contributing to the success of the BMW Manufacturing Company.
