About The Position

As the supervisor of the Business Services Team within IDVR, this position manages Business Services operations and assigned team members. This position plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates the Business Services program. Serves as the lead for the National Employment Team (NET) and point of contact for Statewide business relations regarding employment of individuals with disabilities. Represents IDVR with Business Services Region 10 under Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR).

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of management practices
  • Good knowledge of disability rights laws
  • Good problem-solving, time management, and project management skills
  • Some knowledge and experience tracking and analyzing programmatic data
  • Considerable written and verbal business communication skills for reports, presentations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Some knowledge and experience in advocating or upholding employment rights of individuals with disabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, marketing, human resources, or a related discipline with two years of related experience in supervision or program oversight, or
  • The equivalent in education and/or related work experience totaling six years in supervision or program oversight
  • Prior work or personal experience with individuals with disabilities
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned team members, including hiring, training, development, performance management, and equitable workload distribution
  • Develop and support program goals, priorities, and operating procedures; maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Review and interpret relevant laws and regulations to assess program impact and ensure compliance
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and guidelines for Business Services in alignment with federal regulations
  • Provide program consultation and coordinate activities with IDVR teams and partner organizations to ensure effective service delivery
  • Represent IDVR in Region 10 Business Services meetings; share best-practice recommendations with leadership and staff
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the National Employment Team (NET); participate in NET meetings and assist businesses seeking statewide coordination
  • Plan, implement, and manage special projects, including statewide employer training and customized employer programs
  • Oversee and coordinates the delivery of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) services with employers, as well as business services for the employment of individuals with disabilities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and written reports for internal stakeholders, partners, and general outreach
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
