The position will provide support to the commercial underwriting team. Responsible for key components of credit process including financial statement spreading, file maintenance, Due Diligence report ordering, managing the appraisal process (quotes, engagement, and review), and tickler maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and prior experience working in financial services with exposure to the credit underwriting processes. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job including Microsoft Office products and systems related to deposit and loan products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently as a valuable team member in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Requests necessary financial statements for the completion of annual reviews.
  • Prepare financial statement spreadsheets of commercial borrowers utilizing internal software program provided.
  • Update customer monitoring for receipt of required periodic financial and uploading/scanning financials to Nautilus.
  • Assist underwriters with various tasks related to the underwriting process (tax lookups, balance updating, etc.).
  • Order various credit reports for Due Diligence or other research as requested.
  • Request appraisal quotes and engage appraiser when a quote is selected.
  • Review credit approval for proper set-up of monitoring requirements for correctness.
  • This includes input of annual review dates, financial statement dates, policy exceptions, conditions of approval, appraisal data and other information required to properly monitor new and existing loan facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
