About The Position

The Business Services Coordinator at the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board (FRWDB) is responsible for leading outreach, recruitment, and employer-driven initiatives specifically within the Government and Education sectors. This role is crucial in bridging workforce gaps by connecting businesses with job-ready talent and supporting participants in achieving meaningful employment. The coordinator will strategize, gather information on business needs, and enhance service quality for the business community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field, or two years of directly related work experience.
  • Valid California Driver's License and personal automobile liability insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to research and analyze business and industry-related topics.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare recruitment, HR, or operations (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in WIOA (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in grant writing (2 years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead recruitment initiatives in the Government and Education sector to connect job-ready candidates with employers.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of FRWDB Business Services and foster relationships with businesses and community partners.
  • Track employer outreach activities in the designated employer information database system and take job orders to identify job-ready candidates.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map and identify talent pipeline and services for targeted sectors.
  • Provide technical assistance to business clients, from start-up to expansion.
  • Facilitate Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) contracts and provide information on HR supportive programs.
  • Assess program participants' skills, work experience, and career interests to match them with suitable employment opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of participant and employer interactions, activities, and outcomes.
