About The Position

This position provides foundational support for system maintenance, application updates, and database integrity within the Juvenile Court/Justice technology space. Working under the guidance of senior staff, the Business Systems Analyst I position assists with troubleshooting application issues, performing routine system configurations, and documenting user requirements. This role plays a key part in the project lifecycle by coordinating administrative tasks, assisting with hardware/software assessments, and participating in system testing and data validation.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in an information systems field, including exposure to or basic responsibilities in system maintenance, data analysis, troubleshooting or assisting with information systems and planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science, business management, or a closely related field; OR An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with or interest in Court and Case management systems preferred (JCS, Quest, etc.).
  • Exposure to or basic proficiency in one or more of the following: ITIL, Oracle PL/SQL, OnBase, SharePoint, project coordination, or Microsoft Power Apps, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the maintenance, installation, and configuration of technology systems and assists with scheduled upgrades and data conversions.
  • Analyzes basic business problems and documents functional requirements to help develop data processing solutions.
  • Collaborates with IT staff and senior analysts to gain system knowledge and provides basic troubleshooting support or "how-to" guidance to end-users.
  • Maintains project and system documentation according to established department standards.
  • Assists in the evaluation of software and hardware products by gathering technical specifications and participating in product research.
  • Tracks software maintenance schedules and assists in preparing documentation for renewal requisitions.
  • Participates in software testing, installation, and routine maintenance under the guidance of senior technology staff.
  • Follows established policies and procedures for the installation and operation of new software and technology products.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying user pain points and reporting system performance issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.
