About The Position

The position focuses on optimizing employment opportunities and vocational rehabilitation services for customers, particularly through the development of transitional employment. The role involves conducting employer outreach to identify potential employers for transitional employment, developing agreements, and coordinating the screening and referral of candidates. The individual will build relationships with employers to ensure satisfaction with the services provided and prepare customers for interviews by understanding company culture and needs. Additionally, the role includes conducting work readiness sessions, reviewing labor market information, and assisting with resume preparation and job applications. The position requires maintaining follow-up contact with employers to assess satisfaction and plan for quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in social services or a related field.
  • Four years of direct customer service experience in a clinical or social service environment.
  • Experience in programs that place customers in employment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven.
  • Exceptional customer and employer service and engagement skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families experience preferable.
  • Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations for customers.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.
  • Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties.

Responsibilities

  • Matches customers to jobs available in WeCARE and other systems.
  • Conducts work readiness sessions in small groups or one-on-one.
  • Coordinates with job developers from other organizations.
  • Receives and uses feedback to improve performance.
  • Maintains follow-up contact with employers.
