About The Position

As a Business Risk Specialist at UBS, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and effectively mitigating risks within the Global Wealth Management sector. Your role will involve maintaining the principles of good supervision, overseeing key risk initiatives, and ensuring that processes are designed and operating effectively. You will uphold a strong risk culture, ensuring that staff members maintain the highest standards of integrity, and that Conduct, Supervision & People Risks are identified and escalated. Additionally, you will support the Senior Management Team in maintaining governance and oversight protocols, creating packs and minutes of Governance meetings, and ensuring timely circulation. You will also manage the Jersey BRO control framework, complete period KPCI assessments, conduct trend analysis, and prepare executive summaries. Your responsibilities will include managing the NFR framework, escalating issues and trends, supporting the business in implementing remediation plans, and monitoring actions to completion. You will participate in project management activities and successfully manage the implementation and rollout of project deliverables into the business organization. Furthermore, you will supervise internal and external audit reviews, providing subject matter expert support and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in risk management practices.
  • Sound knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Understanding of the UBS Cross Border Framework.
  • Good knowledge of US persons Policy and Fiscal Compliance initiatives.
  • Flexible mindset and ability to work to multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence to present in risk forums and collaborate with teams.
  • Organized and questioning with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to grasp new topics quickly and propose risk-based solutions.
